Yes, we are shipping out orders as normal. However, your order might be delayed due to the pandemics affect on Shipping Carriers. We recommend choosing tracked shipping at checkout which includes $100 of insurance, just in case.
I made a mistake. Can I change my order?
If we have not fulfilled your order yet, a change may be possible. Please email us email@example.com and be sure to include your order number as well as what changes need to be made. We will be sure to let you know, as quickly as possible, whether we were able to make the desired changes.
How can I track my order?
If you selected a tracked shipping method at checkout, you will receive an email / text containing your tracking number. If for any reason you have not received your shipping confirmation notification and your order date is past 10 business days (and does not include pre-order items), please let us know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. We will be happy to investigate.
If you did not select a tracked shipping method at checkout, your order cannot be tracked once it leaves our hands. While we offer non-tracked shipping methods, we always recommend choosing tracked shipping at checkout, which also includes $100 of insurance.

Can I place a custom order?
Sorry! At this point in time our manufacturing process does not allow for custom orders unless otherwise stated specifically for a particular product. We do not offer custom logos, prints of older / sold-out designs or additional garment colours or styles. What you see on our site is what is available.
How often do you restock / re-print designs?
Rarely! We release a totally new limited edition design on the 13th of every month. Once they're gone, they're gone. When products are sold out, we remove them from our website. This keeps our creative juices flowing and closets fresh.
I never received a confirmation email. What should I do?
If you haven't received an order confirmation email, it is likely the result of one or three things:
- Your order was was not processed correctly.
- You have entered an incorrect email address with your order.
- The email went to your spam folder.

How can I redeem store credit or a gift card?
Gift cards must be redeemed online at octopiedmind.com. Use the code provided in Gift Card confirmation email. If you'd like to check your balance, please reach out to us at email@example.com
How long will it take to receive my order?
Due to the high volume of orders please allow at least 3 processing days before we ship your order. Pre-order and made-to-order products have their expected dates of fulfillment listed on their individual product page (3-6 weeks on average).
The shipping methods available to you are automatically calculated at checkout. If you want to upgrade package speed, insurance or tracking, please select that method (subject to its availability) at checkout.
What is a pre-order?
A pre-order is buying and paying for a product that is not yet available to ship. In essence, you're putting the product on hold and it will ship to you as soon as it's ready to go.
What happens when I make a pre-order?
You will receive a confirmation email of your purchase. Your credit card will be charged the amount in full and when the product is in-stock it will be shipped to you.
We generally release pre-orders within 3-6 weeks of the order receipt date. If this or any delivery date changes, we will update you via email.
If I order in-stock items with pre-order items, what will be shipped and when?
If you order an in-stock item with pre-order items, your in-stock items will be placed on hold until your pre-order item is ready to be shipped. If you want to have these items ship separately, please place separate orders or, contact us to arrange.
Who handles shipping?
We work with Canada Post. When orders cross international borders they are passed along to country-specific carriers (such as USPS).
How do I know if my order has shipped? Can I track it?
Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a confirmation notification either by text or email. If you selected a tracked shipping method at checkout, the email/text will contain your tracking number.
If you did not select a tracked shipping method at checkout, your order cannot be tracked once it leaves our hands. While we offer non-tracked shipping methods, we always recommend choosing tracked shipping at checkout.

Who pays for international import taxes and duties?
International orders may be subject to import duties and taxes on receipt of the package in the destination country. The customer is responsible for any customs charges that may be applied to the shipment. Unfortunately, Octopied Mind has no control over these charges. Customs determines these charges and Octopied Mind has no way of knowing what these charges may be. Octopied Mind is not responsible for any actions taken by customs or the chosen package delivery service.
How much does shipping cost?
We offer free shipping on orders over $150 to customers within Canada or the US. For all other order amounts and shipping locations, rates are calculated automatically at checkout.
We also offer free local pick-up to customers within the Ottawa, ON Canada area.
Can I change my shipping address after placing an order?
If you need to change your shipping address or if you've accidentally entered the wrong address on your order, please contact us immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org
Depending on the time you contact us, the package may not have gone out yet, and then we can cancel the shipment and adjust the address. However, if the package has been shipped with the wrong address, there is unfortunately nothing we can do. It will be delivered per Canada Post's standards to the address on the package.
What is your return policy?
Once you receive your order, you have 30-days from purchase date to try the item on and initiate a return if it's not right for you. We cannot take back worn, washed or items with perfume / smoke scent or pet hair.

How do I know if my order is eligible for return?
In order to be eligible for a return, the merchandise must be unworn and in its original condition. We do carefully inspect all items, so please be extra careful when trying on items (i.e. remove jewelry, make-up and do not apply perfume).
If the item(s) is not in its original condition (I.e. pet hair, makeup stains, smoke or food odour, visibly worn, etc.) you will be responsible for loss in value, and not eligible for a refund. The items will be shipped back to you at your cost, or donated upon request

What are the shipping costs for a return?
You will need to inquire with your shipping carrier service of choice for pricing. You are responsible for purchasing your own shipping label.
We recommend choosing a tracked and insured shipping method to ensure your order gets back to us safely. A refund / exchange will only be issued once the item in question has been received, inspected and approved.
Products that have been altered at your request (semi-crop and full crops) are only eligible for in-store credit.
Why are your products gender inclusive? What does that mean?
We believe that clothing should be designed to fit your body, mind and spirit. We strive to create clothing that is flattering and inclusive for all shapes and identities.
If you are looking for a "classic women's fit", we recommend selecting a raw-edge semi crop customization on eligible products. If you are looking for a "classic man's fit" then select regular length on eligible products.
Women's / Men's fit is in quotations because we don't actually believe there is a classic women's / men's fit. All bodies are great and different and anyone can where whatever the heck they want.
If I get my shirt semi-cropped or full-cropped, will the design be cut off?
No, we will never cut a shirt so short that the design is cut off. For larger designs, we will simply cut as short as possible without sacrificing the art work.
How short is a semi-crop?
Semi-crops are 6-8 inches short than our standard length tee. Depending on torso length, a little skin can show when arms are lifted.
Semi-crops effectively shorten a gender inclusive shirt length to fit appropriately with high-waisted pants, leaving much less material to tuck-in or tie into a knot.

What is a raw-edge semi-crop? What is a full-crop?
A raw-edge semi-crop is when we remove 6-8 inches from the bottom of a standard gender inclusive shirt.
A raw-edge full-crop (aka cropped) is when we remove 8-10 inches from the bottom of a standard gender inclusive shirt.
To do this we use a rotary tool. This tool makes a clean cut and allows the fabric to roll up slightly over time. We do not fold over the material and sew it once it has been cut to prevent rolling unless otherwise stated. We also do not recommend you cut your own shirts at home unless we've given you proper guidance on how to do so.
How do I request a raw-edge semi-crop or full-crop?
If your product is eligible for a raw-edge cropping customization you will see this noted directly on the product page as an option just as you would see size or colour. Simply select that option before adding your product to the cart.
How do the sweaters and hoodies fit?
Our sweaters and hoodies fit over-sized. If you'd like it to be snug, we recommend ordering a size down.
How do your Tee-shirts and long-sleeves fit?
Our shirts are true to size. Please go with the size you most often order from other retailers, regardless of gender identity.
How do I know what size to order?

Where are your garments from?
Our garments are sourced mostly within North America from wholesalers and retailers free of sweatshops and with appropriate environmental workplace practices in place. We only work with suppliers who provide high quality garments that have been produced ethically.
What fabrics do you use?
Our products are made from a variety of fabrics. From 100% organic cotton, to bamboo, to recycled materials and more. Please see the fabric details tab found on each product for full details.
What type of ink do you use?
We screen print most of our designs by hand using water-based ink. Sometimes, we also use discharge ink.
Water based ink is made by suspending a 100% biodegradable pigment into a water base. As a compound, water-based ink is much more gentle on the environment than plastisol ink (plastic-based ink). It simply doesn’t contain any of the toxic chemicals of its plastisol counterparts (no PVC, no phthalates). Instead it’s comprised of naturally occurring substances.
Water based ink is much less risky for printers, consumers, and the environment. In addition, because its water soluble, no specialized chemicals are required for its clean up. This keeps potentially harmful substances out of our waste and water supply.
Discharge ink is also a water based ink but it has an activator added to it to release the dye in the shirt. This activator, or discharging agent, brings the shirt back to its natural bone colour. Pigments can then be added to the ink to essentially re-dye the fabric to a new colour.
Whether we are printing ourselves or working with a trusted studio, our team is always dedicated to using and disposing ink in a responsible manner.
What is my package shipped in?
We use 100% plant based compostable poly-mailers made by a Canadian company called NoIssue.
Sometimes though, we have excited cult members who place big orders (thank you!!!) and then we have to use a plastic mailer so that we can fit everything into it at once. Soon we will purchase bigger compostable mailers, but as of right now we only see these humongous orders 1-3x per month - so buying 500 bags isn't worth it yet for our pockets, BUT SOON!
