Mad Girls Club turns exhaustion into anger - a refusal to keep begging for basic human rights. We’ve chosen the uterus as a symbol of protest because lawmakers keep targeting it. This includes various measures such as abortion bans, criminalizing pregnancy outcomes, restricting access to contraception, and denying fertility care. Moreover, we see bans on gender-affirming care, the taxation of period products as if they're luxury items, the criminalization of sex work, and limitations on accessing STI prevention and treatment. The choice not to have children is often framed as a pathological concern, requiring psychiatric approval for procedures like tubal ligation. This is especially troubling in light of historical injustices where Indigenous women underwent sterilization without consent. All these issues culminate in a shared struggle for autonomy and rights. It’s NOT because identity = anatomy. If you’re angry about laws controlling bodies, you’re in the club.
