Chronically Dehydrated started with the idea of neglect dressed up as normal. A drooping echinacea, known for its healing properties, growing out of a snake-wrapped vase felt like the right kind of contradiction. The snake symbolizes patterns we can’t seem to break, and the flower is what’s left of us when we keep choosing everything but rest, care, or hydration. It’s a little tragic, a little funny, and very much intentional.
The phrase thirsty by nature, neglected by choice came as a half-joke and stayed because it was too real to ignore. This piece isn’t trying to inspire you to change—it’s just holding up a mirror with a dry smirk. The design lives in that strange space between knowing what you need and choosing not to do it. Because sometimes, that’s the vibe.
