We want you to love your purchase. If something doesn’t feel right, you can return it within the time frames and conditions outlined below. Please read this policy carefully before initiating a return. By completing a purchase, you agree to these terms.
1. Eligibility for Return
You have 45 days from the delivery date (as shown on the carrier’s tracking) to initiate a return. Items must arrive at our warehouse within 45 days of delivery.
Eligible items must:

Be unworn, unwashed, and unaltered

Have all original tags and barcodes intact

Be free of pet/human hair, stains, odors, or any sign of wear
We reserve the right to reject returns that do not meet these standards.

If you received a faulty or incorrect product, refer to Section 5 below.
2A. How to Return an Item (Canada + USA Customers)
Canada & U.S. Customers:
Initiate your return through our Returns Portal. Follow the prompts to purchase your label and track your package.
Cost of Return Shipping Label:
Return label rates are sourced directly from our discounted Canada Post (CA) / USPS (US) business account and will always be lower than retail carrier pricing. You can verify your rate using the links below — use your address as the origin and our warehouse as the destination. For package dimensions, most orders ship as approximately 12" x 12" x 1" and 1 lb per item.

If you did not receive exclusive & written permission ship a return back to our warehouse(s) manually (outside of the Returns portal), your return will be rejected.
2B. How to Return an Item (INTERNATIONAL)
Step 1. Email us at support@octopiedmind.com to request a return.
Step 2. Once approved, send your return to the following address:

Mark your package clearly as “Returned Goods – No Commercial Value.” Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs, customs duties, and brokerage fees.
2C. EU, EEA & UK Customers — Right of Withdrawal
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, you have a legal right to withdraw from your purchase without giving any reason. This right is in addition to everything else in this policy, and nothing in this policy limits it.
Withdrawal period. You have 14 days from the day you (or a third party you nominate, other than the carrier) take physical possession of the goods. Where an order is delivered in multiple shipments, the period starts from delivery of the last item.
How to withdraw. Email support@octopiedmind.com before the 14 days are up with a clear statement that you are withdrawing from the contract. Sending the statement before the deadline is enough and the goods can arrive after.
Returning the goods. Once our support team confirms your request, send the items back within 14 days of telling us you're withdrawing, to:

Return shipping costs. You are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods, including any customs duties or brokerage fees on the return leg. We are telling you this in advance, as required, so please factor it in before you order.
Refunds. We will refund all payments received from you, including the standard outbound delivery cost. If you chose a delivery option more expensive than our cheapest standard option, we refund the equivalent of the standard option only. We issue the refund within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice, using the same payment method you used to pay, at no fee to you. We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back, or until you supply proof that you have sent them, whichever comes first.
Condition of the goods. You may handle the goods as you would in a physical store — enough to establish their nature, characteristics, and how they work. If you handle them beyond that and the value is reduced as a result, we may deduct that reduction in value from your refund. We will explain any deduction to you in writing, with photos.
Cancellation before dispatch. You may cancel any unfulfilled item at any time before it ships, at no cost, by emailing support@octopiedmind.com.
What the withdrawal right does not cover. By law, the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised, or to sealed goods unsuitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons where the seal has been broken after delivery. Final sale, sale, and promotional items are still covered by the right of withdrawal for EU, EEA, and UK customers, refunded at the amount actually paid.
Faulty goods. The right of withdrawal is separate from your statutory rights where goods are faulty or not as described. EU and UK consumers benefit from a legal guarantee of conformity of at least two years from delivery. Contact support@octopiedmind.com and see Section 5.
3. Refunds
Refunds are issued to the original payment method or, if unavailable, to an Octopied Mind store credit.

Refunds are always processed in CAD and through the same payment processor used for your purchase.

Exchange-rate differences at refund time are not covered by Octopied Mind.

Once your return is received and approved, refunds are processed within 1–5 business days. Depending on your bank or card issuer, funds may take 3–5 additional days to appear on your statement.
If your return is rejected during inspection, you’ll receive photos and a written explanation.
You can then:

Pay for return shipping to have the item sent back to you, or
-
Authorize us to donate it on your behalf.
If no response is received within 7 calendar days, the item will be automatically donated.
4. Exchanges
We do not offer exchanges. Each exchange requires two shipments (one back to us and one out again) which isn’t financially sustainable for a small business.
If you’d like a different size or product, please submit a return for a refund through our Returns Portal and place a new order.
If you used a discount code on your original order and wish to apply it to your replacement purchase, contact support@octopiedmind.com to receive a new code.
5. Faulty, Incorrect, or Damaged Items
If you receive a defective, incorrect, or damaged item, contact support@octopiedmind.com within 7 days of delivery. Include clear photos, a brief description of the issue, and when you discovered it.
If your claim is approved, we’ll send a replacement or issue a refund — no return required.
6. Final Sale, Promotional, and Discounted Items

Final Sale & Defected: Items marked as final sale or Defected on the product page are non-returnable and non-refundable.

Promotional Items: Items purchased at a temporary discount (e.g., holiday or flash sales) are eligible for return under this policy, with refunds based on the amount paid (not original price).
7. Order Cancellations & Modifications
Due to rapid fulfillment, order cancellations are not guaranteed.
If you need to change your shipping address or cancel an order, contact support@octopiedmind.com immediately.
We will make reasonable efforts to intercept the order if it hasn’t entered processing. Once shipped, you must follow the return process above.
8. Lost or Stolen Packages
If the shipping address on your order confirmation is incorrect or incomplete, we are not responsible. You are responsible for providing accurate information at checkout. If the provided address is correct, proceed to step 2.
If your order is marked “delivered” but you haven't received it, wait 24 hours. Carriers may mark packages early. If it still hasn’t arrived by the end of the next day, contact support@octopiedmind.com to open a claim.
If the package was delivered to the correct address and then stolen, no replacement will be issued.
If the carrier confirms that it was lost in transit or delivered to the wrong address, we will issue a replacement.
9. General Provisions

All purchases made through Octopied Mind’s website, social media platforms, or authorized channels are subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Refunds or credits will not exceed the amount actually paid for the item.
