Don't strain your brain
Many of us breathe unnaturally shallow. This is because just like our minds, our bodies become weighed down by anxious & negative thoughts. We get that meditation is not for everyone, so take a deep breath instead. Being aware of your breathing takes the focus away from thinking. One conscious breath is enough to dissolve some discomfort & make space in your life where the present moment can exist. In a life where we are crowded with things, people and tasks sometimes breath is the only space we can offer ourselves. When your mind tells you that you don’t have time to take a few deep breaths, remember that this is simply your egos attempt to remove you from the present moment. Don’t strain your brain because a strained brain feels like shit.
