Screen-print machinery requires manual adjustments and close supervision. This means print appearance may have slight variation from one product to the next.

Pricing is reduced according to extent of defect. Defects can range from print clarity or mishaps, missing logos (front or back), design malfunctions, fabric quality or threading issues, stains / ink speckles and more.

By purchasing items from the graveyard (defect) collection you agree that you are knowingly purchasing a product that is not up to quality standards and present one or more issues. All items are final sale and not eligible for refunds.

In Stock Items: As a small business we take 2-12 business days to fulfill orders. Once your order has been packed at our warehouse it is dropped off at a Chit Chats location where packages are processed and then handed to country-specific carriers (Canada Post, USPS, DHL, etc.)

Pre-order Items: If your order contains a pre-order item, all items are held until the pre-order items are ready. Please see individual product page for approximate shipping dates for pre-order items.

Made-to-order Items: If your order contains a made-to-order item (ie. swimwear) these items are made and shipped directly by our certified supplier. All other items will be shipped by the team at Octopied Mind from our warehouse in Ottawa, ON Canada.

We hide so many things about ourselves out of fear of being judged or punished. We develop patterns, habits and even addictions around aspects of ourselves to avoid feeling them.

However, when we are given permission to explore these behaviours in the face of unconditional love and compassion, it opens up the possibility for us to own our experiences and take the blame away from others.

Being self-destructive doesn't always involve endless bad habits and avoidance tactics. It can also be a process of breaking down old patterns and ways of thinking that no longer serve you.

The willingness to be self-destructive requires deep courage and radical self-responsibility. It involves taking a hard look at how we treat our bodies, mind and spirit and asking ourselves why.

Looking inward is never easy - but together we can always face our shadows.

Jill Davis (right) and Sarah Vezina (left) are two best friends from small town Dalhousie, New Brunswick. They grew up in the same neighbourhood, took the same bus, had the same babysitter and even rode on the same bike (because Sarah couldn't afford her own). Their inseparability and toxic dependency lasted through adulthood where they quit their corporate jobs to work with each other instead. Given that no one can tell them apart, it's clear that Octopied Mind has been founded on the melting and merging of their brain power, creativity and essence - All of which are used to produce the strange and vulnerable graphic art you see today.

A raw-edge crop method is done with a rotary tool. This tool makes a clean cut and allows the fabric to roll up slightly over time. We do not fold over the material and sew it once it has been cut to prevent rolling unless otherwise stated. We also do not recommend you cut your own shirts at home (especially with scissors) unless we've given you proper guidance on how to do so.
